‘Indian gaming market to hit $5 billion by 2025’ | The Times of India

AHMEDABAD: The Indian gaming market is growing fast and is expected to reach $5 billion in two years from its current size of $3 billion, said Bharat Patel, the vice chairman of Gujarat Innovation Society. Gaming is being adopted by various companies across sectors to improve the performance of their employees too.

Patel said, “India currently has around 40 crore people who play games on their mobile phones. Many of them plan to build a career as a gamer.

“There are several companies in the healthcare and fintech space which provide customized games to their employees to enhance their skills and product understanding through gaming.

“We believe the gaming market will reach $5 billion by 2025 from the current $3 billion. Global gaming market size is around $200 billion, so India has a huge opportunity to expand its share in it. Gujarat-based IT companies are also expanding their portfolios in the gaming sector.
